Thomas Senderovitz

Thomas Senderovitz, M.D., is Senior Vice President Data Science at Novo Nordisk. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, CRO, and regulatory authorities/governmental administration industries.
In his current role, he oversees 1,100 data scientists across various domains and functions including clinical data operations and insights, biostatistics/statistical programming, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Real-World Evidence, pharmacometrics, data orchestration, external affairs and strategic and digital development.
Thomas is a member of the Board of Directors of life science tech/service company Instem.
He was previously CEO of the Danish Medicines Agency during which tenure he served as Chair of (the European) Heads of Medicines Agencies Management Group and member of EMA Management Board. He co-founded the EMA/HMA Big Data Taskforce.
Previously, he was a member of the executive management at global CRO PAREXEL; Executive Vice President of Product Development at Grünenthal; Vice President Global Exploratory Development at UCB; and Vice President Clinical R&D at Ferring Pharmaceuticals.
He earned his M.D. from the University of Copenhagen.
